Day 1: Istanbul Old City Tour

Meet with your guide and driver at the hotel. Step back in time on a private, guided tour that takes you through some of Istanbul’s most iconic and historic landmarks. Start your tour with the historic Hippodrome, once the center of Byzantine public life. The Hippodrome was the site of thrilling chariot races and grand events.

Then continue to Blue Mosque, also known as Sultan Ahmed Mosque and Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. As your expert guide reveals its fascinating history, you’ll marvel at the intricate mosaics and towering domes that make this architectural masterpiece truly unique.

Visit Underground Cistern, built in the 6th century as a secure water reservoir for the city. Lunch break (not included) at a nice local restaurant in the area. Finally visit Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays), one of the oldest and largest covered bazaars in the world. A unique atmosphere that offers an almost endless selection of Turkish carpets, gold, jewellery and artworks available across approximately 4,000 shops. After the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 2: Istanbul Tour & Bosphorus Cruise

After breakfast, meet with your guide and driver at the hotel. First, we will explore Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesdays), the extraordinary Imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans. Explore its rooms, stunning courtyards, and the impressive Harem as you learn about the lavish lifestyle of the Ottoman rulers. You will have a lunch break (not included) at a nice local restaurant in the area.

After lunch visit Suleymaniye Mosque, designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan. It is a true masterpiece of Ottoman architecture, standing majestically atop one of Istanbul’s seven hills. Continue your exploration at Old Spice Market where you can find a vast diversity of spices, many varieties of oils and herbs, and of course the best Turkish delight. It is a perfect place to shop for unique spices and souvenirs.

Then your guide will take you for a 2 hours cruise on the Bosphorus. As we sail along the iconic strait that divides two continents, Asia and Europe, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the city’s stunning skyline, historical palaces, charming waterfront mansions, and magnificent bridges. After the tour, return to your hotel.
